03 The brief

Expert-led, but invisible where it counts

The challenge

Like most expert-led businesses, the brokerage had deep subject-matter authority, but very little of it was visible outside its own channels. Its expertise wasn’t showing up where buyers, partners and search engines look for credibility: established, high-authority publications.

The mandate

Run a managed, always-on Authority PR program: pitch the client’s expertise into relevant news cycles, land placements in genuinely high-authority outlets, and do it repeatably, turning sporadic exposure into a dependable monthly asset.

The goal was never one viral hit. It was to make our client a name that journalists, search engines, and prospects keep running into, month after month.

06 The approach

A managed, always-on system

  1. Define the narratives

We work with the client to identify the narratives that matter most to their business: the themes, positions and areas of expertise they want to be known for in their market.

  2. Develop the ideas & storylines

From those narratives we create the actual ideas, angles and storylines to pitch, purpose-built to earn coverage in the media and on podcasts, rather than chasing whatever the news cycle happens to be running.

  3. Land high-authority placements

Bylines, op-eds, news interviews, podcast appearances and more, prioritised by Domain Rating and reach, with syndication multiplying a single story across networks like Yahoo, AOL, MSN and regional news groups.

  4. Report & compound

Each win is logged with its DR, reach and date. Relationships built one month carry into the next, which is why later months unlock bigger outlets and recurring columns.

Months 1–2 earned regional and trade coverage. By months 3–6, the same program was landing The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Yahoo and a recurring brokerage column. Proof the engine compounds.

07 The results

What six months added up to

  • Authority that search engines and buyers trust.

Being quoted in DR 90+ outlets like WSJ, CNBC, Yahoo and MSN signals credibility no self-published content can match, and it strengthens how the brand shows up across search and AI answers.

  • Reach you could never buy efficiently.

These host publications command audiences in the tens of millions. Earned commentary placed the brokerage inside those audiences as a trusted source, not an interrupting ad.

  • Consistency that compounds.

Coverage in all six months, climbing from regional press to national broadcast, shows this isn’t luck. It’s a managed system that gets stronger the longer it runs.
