Authority PR — 6-month performance review · Mar – Aug 2026
LendFriend Mortgage: Earned media that compounds.
How six months of Authority PR put LendFriend Mortgage in front of audiences in the tens of millions, across Forbes, Newsweek, Bankrate, Kiplinger and dozens more, without a single ad dollar.

A representative selection from the program’s placement log, Mar – Aug 2026. Reach is the host outlet’s approximate monthly traffic.
03 The brief
Expert-led, but invisible where it counts
The challenge
LendFriend had deep expertise in non-QM lending: DSCR, Fix & Flip and Jumbo Bank Statement loans, plus programs for veterans, retirees, self-employed and crypto-wealth borrowers. Very little of it was visible outside LendFriend’s own channels, in the high-authority financial and mortgage-trade publications where borrowers, partners and search engines look for credibility.
The mandate
Run a managed, always-on Authority PR program: pitch LendFriend’s expertise into relevant news cycles, land placements in genuinely high-authority outlets, and do it repeatably, turning sporadic exposure into a dependable monthly asset.
The goal was never one viral hit. It was to make LendFriend a name that journalists, search engines, and prospects keep running into, month after month.

05 The approach
A managed, always-on system
Define the narratives
We worked with LendFriend to identify the themes and positions they want to be known for: non-QM products, underserved borrower segments, and real-time market commentary tied to Eric Bernstein’s expertise.
Develop the ideas & storylines
From those narratives we built the actual angles to pitch, purpose-built to earn coverage in news, trade press and podcasts, rather than chasing whatever the news cycle happened to be running.
Land high-authority placements
Bylines, expert-comment features, news interviews and podcast appearances, prioritised by Domain Rating and reach, with syndication multiplying single stories across regional and trade networks.
Report & compound
Each win is logged with its DR, reach and date. Relationships built one month carried into the next, which is why later months unlocked Forbes, Newsweek and Bankrate alongside a recurring podcast presence.
Months 1–2 earned regional and trade coverage. By months 5–6, the same program was landing Forbes, Newsweek and Bankrate alongside a recurring podcast presence. Proof the engine compounds.
06 The results
What six months added up to
Authority across every borrower segment.
The non-QM/DSCR podcast feature, the crypto-wealth piece in Mann Report, and the VA and retiree qualification stories all landed in the same six months: proof LendFriend’s expertise carries across its full range, not just one product line.
National reach without a media budget.
Single features in Forbes, Newsweek and Bankrate put LendFriend in front of audiences most lenders never reach organically, and syndicated veteran and military stories extended that reach through regional networks.
A compounding relationship with the trade press.
Recurring coverage in HousingWire, National Mortgage Professional and National Mortgage News, plus three podcast features with Eric Bernstein, shows editors now treat LendFriend as a standing source rather than a one-off pitch.
“Six months in, LendFriend isn’t pitching for attention anymore. Editors know the story and keep coming back for it.”
